The short version: Pixtrino processes images from your S3 bucket on your behalf. Your images stay in your bucket. We collect minimal personal data, store it in the EU, and never sell it.
Pixtrino is a product of Inova d.o.o., a company registered in Slovenia (EU). Our registered address is Maribor, Slovenia. You can reach us at pixtrino@inova.si.
We operate as a data processor on behalf of our customers (you), and as a data controller for the limited personal data we collect directly (such as your contact details). Where we process personal data on your behalf, we enter into a Data Processing Agreement with you in accordance with Article 28 GDPR as part of onboarding.
When you contact us or sign up, we collect your email address and any information you choose to share about your setup. We use this to communicate with you about your account and the service.
Pixtrino reads images from the AWS S3 bucket you connect to us. We process these images to perform the transformations you request (resize, crop, format conversion, etc.). We do not store your original images — they remain in your S3 bucket at all times. Transformed results are cached on our CDN for performance.
The smart crop feature detects the position of faces within an image solely to determine the optimal crop area. We do not identify the individuals in those images and do not build biometric profiles.
If you upload an image to the Pixtrino playground, it is stored temporarily on our infrastructure in the EU so we can demonstrate transformations on it. Playground uploads are automatically deleted within 24 hours. Please do not upload images containing sensitive personal data to the playground.
We collect standard server logs including IP addresses, request URLs, response times, and HTTP status codes. This data is used to operate the service, diagnose problems, and prevent abuse. Logs are retained for 30 days.
If you submit our contact form, your email address and message are processed by Formspree (our form provider) and delivered to us by email. Formspree's privacy policy applies to this processing.

Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time by contacting us at pixtrino@inova.si. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
Pixtrino's infrastructure runs on AWS in the eu-north-1 region (Stockholm, Sweden). All image processing happens within the EU. Transformed images are distributed via Amazon CloudFront (our CDN) for performance — CloudFront edge nodes may be located outside the EU, but they only serve cached copies of already-transformed images.
Your original images never leave your S3 bucket or the AWS region you have configured.
Where personal data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, we rely on the safeguards provided for in Chapter V of the GDPR. Contact form submissions are processed by Formspree in the United States on the basis of the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Transfers connected to AWS infrastructure, including CloudFront edge nodes outside the EU, are covered by the Standard Contractual Clauses incorporated into the AWS Data Processing Addendum and by AWS's certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and regular security reviews. Private S3 buckets are accessed using scoped IAM credentials with read-only permissions. We do not store your AWS credentials beyond what is needed to operate your workspace.
The Pixtrino marketing site does not use tracking cookies or analytics. We do not use any third-party advertising or tracking scripts.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify active customers of material changes by email. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version.
